I woke up this morning as the “small” spoon in a Hammy the cat cuddle puddle. I don’t know what made him love crawling under the blankets with us every day, but I sure am grateful for it.
How much screen time is too much screen time for a cat? I’m, um, asking for a friend. 😄
In the parlance of Jackson Galaxy (and surely others), Hammy the cat is a bush dweller. In his case, this means that a few times a day he insists we make a blanket tent on the couch for him to crawl under.
If my legs are also there for him to cuddle up with, then all the better!
I have no idea why he started doing this, but Hammy the cat’s new favorite obsession is dropping his crinkly Mylar ball toy into his water bowl and then bringing it to us, sopping wet.
Honestly, it feels like we’re being pranked by our cat. Should have named him Mr. Mischief.
I’ve just discovered one of the greatest joys a person can have in their lives: relaxing on the couch while a cat uses your open hand as a pillow. He fell asleep so fast this way.
I haven’t moved a muscle in many minutes, my fingers are losing all feeling, and I couldn’t be happier.
I’ve got the most normal cat living with me, which is to say that I’m living with an insane, furry monster who zooms around the house at all hours of the day, scream-meows at me when he wants something, and probably sits on my head while I’m sleeping. The only abnormal thing about him is he often wants me to scratch his tummy, and it’s not a trap!
Considering my cat’s insatiable love for playing with his feather wand toy, I shudder at the thought of just how many poor birds he murdered while he was living on the streets.
He’s a perfect representation of that Oatmeal infographic.
I wonder how long it’s going to take before I end up buying my cat his own iPad so he can watch videos of other cats all day.
That’s crazy, but on the other hand, he keeps hogging my television.
I’ve checked the science and I’m pretty sure there’s nothing better than napping on the couch while a cat is napping on top of you.
There’s really nothing better for the soul than going out for a walk and petting a friendly cat.
