Welp, time to stay off the internet from now until at least November. There’s only poison from a crazy man on there right now.
It’s always nice to go in for an optometrist appointment and hear that there’s been no change whatsoever to my vision. Apparently, my eyes are invincible. Time to test this out by giving the sun a good, long stare.
I just wrote “Add a task” as a task name in Things. I think it might be time for me to take a nap. Maybe I should add that as a task?
I never knew how good television could be until I got a 55” set that has Dolby Vision capabilities. It’s been immersive and fun to watch tv again. 📺
There’s a YouTube ad for the new show, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, that’s the entire pilot episode. Not just a trailer, but the entire damn episode. It’s a 43 minute ad. I’m assuming this is what the apocalypse looks like. 😡📺
I’m pretty sure I can make a bajillion dollars by inventing glasses that don’t get smudged mere moments after cleaning them. Not just a lot of money, but an actual bajillion. Off to the lab! 🧑🔬
My fingers have been feeling a bit swollen since exercising about a day or so ago. Either I need to go see a doctor or I really need to start exercising more and get my body used to regular activity again.
I went to a coin show with the family this morning. That was a fun visit to an interesting (but very warm) place. We had a lot of coins to sell; I was a little shocked that they dealt in such large sums of money.
Goodness, I’m looking forward to breakfast this morning, for some reason. I think I love waffles more than I realized before now. 🤤🧇
I just had a good time recording a podcast with a friend about the movie I watched a couple days ago, BlacKkKlansman. The recording went well, but man that movie is still heavy. And I think I need new headphones. Mine give me headache. 🎥🎙
I also finished watching BlacKkKlansman a little bit ago. What a crazy powerful and upsetting film. It makes me sad that we haven’t taken bigger steps away from that terrible past. 🎥🍿
Fun work accomplished! It was a challenge to get an office full of older Macs running again, but it’s always nice to work with the computers I love the most.
Personally, I love the hell out of the new Fantastical and am happy to throw some well-deserved money their way.
It’s been hard to avoid the renewed subscription hate now that Fantastical 3 has been released. It’s tiresome and frustrating to see so many people loudly complain about supporting a product and a company that they supposedly love.
I’ve got a good time coming with a friend of mine: we’re going to try recording a regular podcast about movies. We’ve already done a couple minor episodes. Next up: BlacKkKlansman. Should be a great, informative watch.
I finished watching Long Shot this morning. That was a fun movie. I’m not surprised it didn’t win any major awards, but it was a well-made crowd pleaser. Or Sean pleaser, in this case. 🎥🍿
I’m so late to the game, but I’ve been really loving the Binging with Babish videos. They remind me of the old Food Network shows before that place filled up with boring competition shows. They’re fun, informative, and make my mouth water.
Hopefully the prospect of some fun work will help me move past and learn from getting a surprise 1099 form in the mail a couple days ago. Taxes this year are going to be interesting. I really wish filing taxes in this country was handled like any other sensible country.
For better or worse, I’m working on ditching G Suite for my business services and going all in on iCloud. This is a really rocky path, but it’s one I’m curious to walk down.
